We welcome Dr. Iwein Gyselinck as a permanent staff member in the pneumology service at St Trudo Hospital.
Dr. Iwein Gyselinck studied medicine at KU Leuven, where he graduated as a doctor in 2015. He further specialised in pneumology and also obtained a PhD from KU Leuven. He subsequently worked as a fellow in pulmonary rehabilitation at UZ Leuven, and gained additional experience in the Netherlands (Ciro/ UMC expertise centre for chronic organ failure) and Canada (Firestone Institute for Respiratory Health).
His clinical and scientific interests include obstructive pulmonary disease, pulmonary rehabilitation and cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET). With his experience and research background, he aims to contribute to the further strengthening of pulmonary care at Saint-Trudo.
