This year, Dr. Charlotte Debergh started as a permanent staff member at Sint-Trudo Hospital on the internal medicine department as a hematologist.

From February 25 through March 5, 2023, we celebrated Volunteer Week at Sint-Trudo. Every day thousands of volunteers dedicate themselves to charity; our hospital can also count on many volunteers.

On Monday, June 20, the brand-new sleep lab at Sint-Trudo Hospital will open its doors. With this, the hospital significantly expands its capacity from 3 beds to 5 beds for sleep studies. In this way, the hospital wants to meet the increased demand for sleep problems.

On July 1, 2022, dr. Bram Byloos will start as a permanent staff member at Sint-Trudo Hospital on the anesthesia service, where he plans to further focus on locoregional anesthesia.

In April, Dr. Patricia Verstraete will start as a permanent staff member at Sint-Trudo Hospital in the orthopedics department as a spine and trauma surgeon. Dr. Patricia Verstraete will be responsible for the treatment of neck and back complaints. And will strengthen our medical team in the field of microscopic and innovative techniques, such as 3D patient-specific technology.

In March, Dr. Stijn Van Hoef will start as a permanent staff member in the department of general and abdominal surgery at Sint-Trudo Ziekenhuis. Dr. Stijn Van Hoef will join our medical team as a general and abdominal surgeon with specific interest in (complex) abdominal wall surgery and bariatrics or obesity surgery.
