From Monday 16 June, the parking and traffic situation at the hospital will change. The rear side of the hospital will be set up as a work zone for the works on the road around the hospital and the new emergency department.
This new situation has been thoroughly prepared, with due consideration for our patients and their visitors. We are making every effort to make accessibility to the hospital as smooth as possible for them.
🚗 What does this mean concretely for patients and visitors who come by car?
- The parking for people with reduced mobility and for emergencies will remain available as today, directly to the left of the hospital.
- The Kiss&Ride will also remain accessible and free for half an hour, so patients can be dropped off or picked up there right in front of the entrance.
- The current visitor parking lot at the back of the hospital will be closed and disappear. Patients and visitors can instead park nearby at Parking Rummenweg (driveway immediately after turning onto Rummenweg). Or they can alternatively use the free parking at the Veemarkt .
The rear of the hospital remains accessible via the left front side:
- Dialysis patients
- Suppliers
- Visitors to the Pet Pavilion
🚲 For cyclists, the parking lot directly to the left of the hospital will remain accessible at all times.
🅿️ What about the new parking and yard situation?
- The road to the right of the hospital will be permanently closed.
- All traffic around the hospital will be via the access road on the left.
- A yard road with traffic lights will be constructed behind the building along which you will leave the site via the right side.
- The newly constructed car park to the left of the hospital will also open on June 16, but will initially be used as a staff car park , because of the possible disruption to the site road during the working day. We want to protect our patients from this as much as possible, which is why the parking lot on Rummenweg is now largely reserved for them.
The former access road on the right is completely closed to arriving traffic.
We are continuously monitoring the site schedule and accessibility around the hospital and will make adjustments as needed. This work is necessary to continue to ensure quality care for our patients in the future. Therefore, we hope to count on your understanding for this temporary situation.
