Sint-Trudo Hospital has a specialised emergency department. Patients in an urgent or life-threatening situation or in need of urgent medical care are quickly and efficiently cared for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by a specialised team of nurses and emergency doctors.

At the internal surgery day hospital, you can undergo an examination or treatment that does not involve an overnight stay in our hospital (ambulatory or outpatient). You come to the hospital the day of your treatment and can return home the same day.

Nuclear medicine uses radioactivity as a means of diagnosis or treatment.

At the oncology department, you can come for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Cancer is a collective term for many different conditions in which cells grow too quickly and cause damage to surrounding tissue. The haematologists treat patients with diseases of the blood, bone marrow and lymph nodes. These can be both benign and malignant conditions.

Our intensive care unit is a specialized department where critical patients are monitored and treated in a high-tech manner 24 hours a day, under the constant attention of the specialized doctors and nurses.

Surgical procedures (operations) are performed in the operating theatre. Surgeons from various disciplines operate here under the supervision of anesthesiologists who provide anesthesia and artificial sleep. In addition, the specialized team of surgical nurses is responsible for the necessary care before, during and after surgery.
