Decompression means the removal of pressure on the nerves. This pressure can be caused by bony growth or possible hernias.

In a lumbar fusion, two vertebrae are reattached back together using rods and screws. Lumbar fusion surgery is performed to fuse successive vertebrae together.

A PEG probe (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy probe) provides direct access to your stomach. This can replace the path that food normally takes from the mouth to the stomach. Through a PEG tube, tube feedings, water and medications can be administered.
