In the plaster room, specialized nurses treat patients with injuries to the musculoskeletal system. These injuries include bone fractures, as well as muscle and tendon problems and wound care.
We treat various limbs that need to be immobilized, corrected or supported. You may be referred to the plaster room from various disciplines, such as the orthopedic surgeon, plastic surgeon, neurosurgeon or emergency doctor.

Women can go to our gynaecology department for birth control and contraception.
Obstetrics is a part of this, where we guide you during pregnancy and childbirth.
Our gynaecologists are also responsible for the necessary gynaecological check-ups, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the uterus, ovaries and breasts. For the latter, we work with a multidisciplinary breast centre.

Pathologists examine biopsies of body tissue, larger (surgical) resections and cells from body fluids. Using macroscopic and microscopic examination, the pathologist will make a diagnosis and advise the attending doctor or general practitioner. This examination is an important part in the diagnosis of cancer, as well as inflammatory reactions in organs.

As a patient, you have no direct contact with this department. Your doctor or general practitioner will discuss the result of a pathological examination with you.

The pneumology or lung diseases department treats diseases of the upper and lower airways and of the lungs.

At the department of oral and maxillofacial surgery, you can receive diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the teeth, jaws, face and oral cavity. Our department is part of the hospital's head and neck centre.

The nephrology department of Sint-Trudo is one of the three recognized centres for kidney diseases in Limburg. The service offers the full spectrum from diagnostics to all forms of treatment. An expert team of doctors, paramedics and other healtcare professionals is available to the patient 24 hours a day.
