Radiotherapy
Radiotherapy, also called radiation therapy, is a treatment that uses radioactive or ionising radiation to destroy cancer cells or slow down their growth. It is often combined with other treatments, such as surgery and chemotherapy, to effectively combat cancer. Radiotherapy can also be used to treat benign tumours and other conditions.
department
Head and neck centre
The head and neck centre combines two medical disciplines in one department: nose, throat and ear diseases (NKO), face and neck surgery and oral and maxillofacial surgery (MKA). This allows us to further help patients with problems in the head and neck area in one multidisciplinary center. This provides not only a broader range of care but also an integrated care path. This is a great advantage for patients who would otherwise switch between the two disciplines.
