Plastic surgery

The department of plastic surgery corrects both the function and the appearance of a body part. A distinction is made between reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.

What can we help you with?

Our department of plastic surgery supports you in correcting the shape and/or function of a body part, for both reconstructive and aesthetic purposes. You can rely on plastic surgeons who place your health and wellbeing at the centre of care. We listen to your wishes, give honest advice and look together for a solution that suits you. This way, we guide you towards a confident and natural appearance.

Reconstructive surgery

Reconstructive surgery aims to correct abnormal body structures caused by developmental disorders, congenital conditions, accidents, infections, tumours or other signs of disease. These procedures are usually performed to improve functions or to restore a form that is as close to normal as possible. An example is breast reconstruction after mastectomy.

Aesthetic surgery (cosmetic)

Aesthetic surgery is performed to restore the shape and sometimes the function of a certain body part. The plastic surgeon carries out treatments of the face, body and hand.
