Hand centre
Plan your appointment
What can we help you with?
You can come to our specialised hand centre for treatment of all hand and wrist joint complaints. This treatment is multidisciplinary, meaning that doctors and other specialised care providers work together from different disciplines. The process at the hand centre always starts with a consultation, during which, after thorough examination, a diagnosis is made and the best treatment plan tailored to you.
What do we treat?
The orthopaedic surgeons at the hand centre specialise in treating hand and wrist injuries.
How does hand surgery work?
Thanks to thorough specialisation and the necessary investments, we can offer the latest techniques in our hand centre. For example, surgery of a jumping finger (trigger finger) or carpal tunnel syndrome can be done using ultrasound. More information on this technique can be found HERE.
In our hyperambulatory day hospital, hand surgery can often be performed under local anaesthesia (locoregional anaesthesia). This involves anaesthetising only the arm or hand, which many people find more comfortable and which often allows you to go home sooner. The options for surgery are always thoroughly reviewed and discussed in advance during a consultation with your doctor. For more information on anaesthesia, please contact our anaesthesia department.
Doctors orthopaedics
The hand surgeons are part of an extensive team of orthopaedic surgeons. More information about the orthopaedics department can be found on the department page:
