The gastroenterology department specialises in detecting, diagnosing, and treating disorders of the digestive system, including the oesophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder and pancreas. We work closely with other departments to provide comprehensive care.

Our psychiatry team consists of a liaison psychiatrist for admitted patients and a psychiatrist you can go to for consultations.

The department of vascular and thorax surgery specializes in the treatment of diseases and abnormalities at the level of the veins, arteries, lymphatics, lymphatic pathways, lungs and in the chest.

Sint-Trudo Hospital has a specialised emergency department. Patients in an urgent or life-threatening situation or in need of urgent medical care are quickly and efficiently cared for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by a specialised team of nurses and emergency doctors.

At the internal surgery day hospital, you can undergo an examination or treatment that does not involve an overnight stay in our hospital (ambulatory or outpatient). You come to the hospital the day of your treatment and can return home the same day.

Nuclear medicine uses radioactivity as a means of diagnosis or treatment.
