Route & Parking

Sint-Trudo Ziekenhuis is easily accessible by car and public transportation. There is ample parking space in our paid visitor parking lot or in the immediate vicinity, a bicycle shed and a bus stop at the door and a train station (Sint-Truiden) within walking distance.

Kiss & Ride

There is a Kiss & Ride zone right in front of the hospital, to quickly drop off or pick up someone.   

Does your passenger need some help? On the Kiss & Ride zone in front of the hospital, long parking (= longer than 20 minutes) is prohibited. So you can park briefly on the provided lane to help someone in or out.

There are also parking spaces for the disabled on the Kiss & Ride. Holders of a valid disabled pass may park in this zone for more than 20 minutes. before leaving the hospital show your valid disabled card at the reception desk with your license plate, then you can leave the K&R without any problems.

In addition, there is a zone on the left side in front of the hospital where professional cabs can park for special patient transport and to pick up or drop off patients. 

Are you parking illegally in the zone just in front of the hospital? Then you pay 20 euros at the barrier to drive out.

Parking

There is plenty of parking space in the visitors' car park, which you can reach from the right side of the hospital. Disabled parking spaces are also provided there at the front. Just in front of the hospital (via the Kiss & Ride) there are also four spaces for disabled people.

When entering the parking lot you'll take a parking ticket. You ll need this to pay for it at the pay machine in the entrance hall when you leave the hospital.

Making use of a disabled parking space? Please place your disabled card clearly visible behind the windshield when parking in one of these reserved spaces. If you use these spaces, you can get a free exit ticket at the reception desk upon showing your personal parking pass.

Prices at our visitor parking lot:

  • Less than 30 minutes: free
  • From 30 minutes to 1 hour: 2 euros
  • More than 1 hour: + 1 euro per hour started
  • Daily rate (maximum): 6 euro

You can park favourably in our visitor parking lot with a ten turns card. This costs 15 euros and allows you to park ten times for an unlimited duration. You buy it at the pay machine. Press the ten turn card button. When leaving the parking lot enter your card at the machine at the barrier (instead of your parking ticket). Afterwards you can use the turn card both when entering and leaving the parking

Bike

A bicycle parking area is provided to the left of the hospital when facing the hospital.

With public transportation

The hospital is easily accessible by public transportation. It is within walking distance (about 1 km) from the train station of Sint-Truiden. From the station you can take the line bus or walk to the hospital.

With the bus you can reach the hospital from the station via, among others, line 5 or line S2 (stop Sint-Trudo Ziekenhuis - Rummenweg) or via line S1 (stop Sint-Trudo Ziekenhuis - Speelhoflaan).
