Sint-Jozef kliniek

History

In 1930, the Augustinian Black Sisters founded the Sint-Annakliniek. At the end of 1938 the Congregation of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Mary of Berlaar started the construction of Sint-Jozefziekenhuis. Due to the war, the official opening of this hospital could not take place until 1947

In 1991 the Sint-Trudo Regional Hospital was created from the merger of the Sint-Annakliniek (Stenaertberg) and the Sint-Jozefziekenhuis (Diestersteenweg).

In 2013 all the nursing departments of campus Sint-Anna were located in the renovated hospital on Diestersteenweg and the architectural unification of both hospitals also became a reality. The hospital was then given its current name "Sint-Trudo Ziekenhuis."
