More comfort for parents or carers who stay over at our paediatric ward

In the paediatric ward at Sint-Trudo Hospital, one twin room was converted into a spacious single room.

The room has been fitted with a bespoke, built-in sofa bed, so that one parent or carer can stay overnight with the hospitalised child in greater comfort.

Having a familiar person close by can make a big difference when a child is in hospital. That familiar face plays a significant role in the healing process. The refurbished room therefore not only offers greater peace of mind for the child, but also greater comfort for the family.

With this change, Sint-Trudo Ziekenhui is continuing its commitment to a child- and family-friendly environment.
