Using macroscopic and microscopic examination, the pathologist will make a diagnosis and advise the attending doctor or general practitioner. This examination is an important part in the diagnosis of cancer, as well as inflammatory reactions in organs.

As a patient, you have no direct contact with this department. Your doctor or general practitioner will discuss the result of a pathological examination with you.
