Geriatric day hospital

In our geriatric day hospital, elderly patients can come and receive an outpatient evaluation and therapy. Patients are admitted for one day. They have to register at the reception desk. In consultation with the general practitioner and the geriatrician, we make a multidisciplinary evaluation and examine the patient that day in a comfortable and appropriate environment. The services at the geriatric day hospital are fully adapted to the specific needs of the elderly. The GP always receives a report from the hospital.

How do we work?

In the geriatric day hospital you are taken care of from your registration until your discharge, by a specialized and multidisciplinary team that is responsible for your supervision and the smooth progress of the examinations and possible treatments. If necessary, they also seek the advice of fellow specialists (e.g. cardiologist, neurologist, ophthalmologist ...).

The team of the geriatric day hospital consists of specialized geriatricians, a team of nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and social workers who are all happy to assist you where necessary.

In the context of specific needs, you can call on our falls clinic and/or memory clinic.
