Summary
Date
Dr. Bjorn Baerts received his degree in medicine (2014) and his degree in dentistry (2018) from the Catholic University of Leuven. He then completed a specialisation in oral and maxillofacial surgery through the University of Antwerp.
He completed the Belgian part of his training at the University of Antwerp/ZMACK and focused mainly on orthognathic surgery.
During his stay in the United Kingdom, he enjoyed training in oncologic and reconstructive head and neck surgery at University Hospital Southampton and then at University Hospital Bristol, where he remained active as a staff member in head and neck surgery after his training.
He completed observerships with a number of world-renowned aesthetic facial surgeons (Mr. D. Bray, Dr. Michele Pascali, Dr. G. Botti).
Dr. Bjorn Baerts will join our physician corps as an MKA physician, and has a special interest in facial aesthetics outside of general oral and maxillofacial surgery.
